Community-Based Sea Turtle Project in Bafu Bay
This year, the Sea Turtle Watch, Liberia will initiate a new marine turtle conservation program in Bafu Bay, Sinoe County. Leatherbacks (Dermochelys coriacea) and Hawksbills (Eretmochelys imbricata) are the sea turtle species mostly occurring within the area but have been under serious threat from communities living near the beaches.
